Fujitsu Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has announced its latest Fujitsu USB 3.0-SATA bridge chip MB86C31 series have passed the United States USB Implementers Forum (referred to as “USB-IF”, USB interface standard group) qualifying test, get USB 3.0 speed standards compliance certification.
Fujitsu MB86C31 USB 3.0-SATA bridge chip is based on last year’s MB86C30 series of functions being developed. The family added the following product features: support for the latest UAS (with USB, SCSI) protocol, NCQ function and hot swap ATA devices. Also achieved the performance of other products, such as a USB PHY to improve connectivity, for lower power consumption, Fujitsu FPCBP192AP Battery support for PWM and multiple SPI devices. Currently MB86C31 series supports two packages – 64-pin LQFP (7mm × 7mm), and 48-pin QFN (6mm × 6mm), greatly improved product flexibility.
Powerful product features, high-speed encryption hardware and data transfer rates up to 5Gbps to MB86C31 Series USB 3.0-SATA host bridge chip and external SATA storage device (such as HDD, SSD, Blu-ray drive) between the safe, reliable, speed connection, provide customers with sound solutions.
“Speed USB has greatly promoted the now widely popular USB technology. Could have witnessed the rapid development speed USB technology really exciting,” USB-IF president and chairman, said Jeff Ravencraft. “Manufacturers, through unremitting efforts to speed through the USB pass-certified products into the market, which clearly shows that their speed USB support industry.”
“In the past few months, have adopted to speed up data transfer rates and reduce chip pin count increased USB 3.0-SATA bridge series performance. Today, we chip through the USB-IF’s official certification,” Fujitsu Limited Semiconductor USA Senior Manager, Marketing Yoshi Masuda said. “We continue to win market share in the trade of such products. Speeding USB specification is indeed an external drive and consumer mass storage system ideal.”
In order to improve the actual product specifications and providing inspection certification standards, USB-IF has launched a rigorous testing process, acceptable to provide a reasonable degree of testing. With the acceptable level of product integration will be included in the list of component manufacturers (Integrators List), and enjoy the USB-IF logo permissions.
